In an affidavit filed with the court and titled FHC/ABJ/CS/1617/2022, the Department of State Security (DSS) stated that Mamu is a logistical provider to both domestic and international terror organizations.

The service revealed that before being apprehended in Egypt last week, the bandit negotiator was en route to a meeting with foreign terrorist leaders.

Mamu was in charge of negotiating with bandits to secure the return of the passengers from the train from Abuja to Kaduna that terrorists abducted in March 2022.

At Cairo International Airport on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, the terrorist negotiator was detained together with his two wives as they awaited a connecting aircraft to Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj.

Following their deportation to Nigeria, they were hauled up by DSS agents at the Aminu Kano International Airport.

After his detention, the DSS allegedly raided his home and discovered military uniforms along with a sizable stash of different foreign currencies and denominations.

The things discovered in Mamu’s home were termed as damning materials by DSS spokesman Peter Afunanya.

“So far, the right security authorities have carried out lawful search warrants on Mamu’s home and office,” he declared. Incriminating items, including military gear, were found during the procedures.

“Other goods contain sizable sums in various currencies and denominations as well as tools used for financial transactions. Mamu will undoubtedly have a day in court even while other investigations go on.
