MUSA AGAH AVOIA: The People’s Choice

When INEC announced that Hon. Musa Agah Avoia is the winner of the House of Representatives of Jos North / Bassa in the recent election held. It is not surprising because it is a well-deserved victory.     

The election is classified as one of the most peaceful elections in recent times. This is because previous elections are characterized with either appointment or imposition of candidates.

There was great jubilation when the people got their mandate actualized. As electorates celebrate their well-deserved winner shows that there is hope in our democracy.

Most of the polling units have less than half of the total registered voters as compared to the last general election.

Electorates were afraid their votes would not count as experienced in previous elections. But with the current election results, they have resolved to prepare for the next general elections in 2023 as they now have confidence in the electoral process.     

This development is a clear indication that the people are more enlightened that it is not the party but the candidate that makes good governance.     

Hon. Avoia of PDP is the peoples’ hope. This is indeed a great development for Nigerians.
