Mysterious Fire guts Borno Mega School recently Commission by President Buhari

A Fire outbreak destroys a multi million Naira project as one of the mega schools constructed by the Zulum administration.

The Mega School was recently commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari during his visit to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital about 7 months ago. 

The school is located at Goni kachallari beside Muhammed Goni college of Agriculture along Custom Muna Express way.

The mysterious fire is still burning the facilities despite the effort of the fire fighters with the help of some Chinese constructors working on some of the projects  around the area.

Many residents of Goni Kachallari Community told NEWSng that there’s a need for the government to immediately investigate the incident, describing it as a major setback in the educational sector in the state, which has suffered Boko Haram and ISWAP attacks in the recent years.. 

The third floor of the mega technical Secondary School was burnt down into ashes despite the maximum efforts put in place by the state and federal fire services to quench the inferno.

Source of the conflagration is not yet to be identified as of the time of filling the report.

Despite the fact that the school was not connected to the national grid, power generator, or anything of such that could have informed the fire outbreak, residents were left wondering what could have been the source of the fire.

Eye witness, who identifies himself as Makinta Bukar said that the incident is very surprising and called on the state government to investigate the incident with immediate effect.
