The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), as part of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), conducted a successful air interdiction mission at Njimiya, a known ISWAP enclave within the Sambisa Forest, at 0600 hours today, Sunday, killing several terrorists.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation targeted insurgents who had reportedly been regrouping in the area.

The sources said that Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions had previously confirmed heightened terrorist activities at the location, prompting the precision airstrikes.

Battle damage assessments indicated that several terrorists were eliminated while sources indicated that the airstrikes effectively disrupted the terrorists’ operations.
