The Niger State Police Command has recovered the bodies of Reverend Father James Omeh, Parish Priest of Saint Anthony Catholic Church Gulu, and Charity John, a staff of Divine Mercy Hospital Dutsen Kura, following a fatal road accident.

Police sources told Zagazola Makama that on May 24, 2025, at about 2200 hours, the victims were driving a white Hilux vehicle en route to Gulu via Lapai when they missed their route and ran into a nearby flooded stream caused by poor visibility and heavy rainfall, leading to their drowning.
