Nigeria: 30 kidnapped victims rescued by troops In Kaduna

Patrol team of the v1 Division of the Nigerian Army have rescued 30 kidnapped travelers from their assailants along Birnin Gwari road in Kaduna state, northwest Nigeria..

In the process they recovered 2 motorcycles from the terrorists who abandoned the travelers and escaped for their lives due to superior power.

A statement by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, 1 Division Nigerian Army Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya noted that the troops who were escorting the Chief of Defence Training and operations Major General Udonwa who was on operational visit to the headquarters of “operation whirl punch” in Birnin Gwari engaged the terrorists and overpowered them forcing them to withdraw in disarray.

Rescued victims the statement noted have since been escorted to Udawa and Birnin Gwari to continue with their journey.
