Four pupils abducted some weeks back by suspected bandits in Nasarawa state have been recovered by men of the Nigerian Police.

A statement by spokesman of the Nasarawa police command Ramhan Nansel stated that four of the kids abducted by unknown gun men have been recaptured and are being managed in the hospital before handing over to parents.

” In continuation of the search to rescue the remaining four pupils that were earlier abducted on 20/1/2023 at LEA Primary school, Alwaza; on 3/2/2023 at about 0700hrs, a detachment of joint security operatives in collaboration with Hunters rescued the four pupils at Doka village, Doma LGA

“The minuses, Awazi Emmanuel, Success Ogah, Dominion Alhaji and Success Emmanuel have been taken to the hospital for medical examination and shall be reunited with their parents soon.

Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Maiyaki Baba, thanked members of the public for their support thus far and urged them to assist the police with relevant information that will assist in arresting the perpetrators of the dastardly act.”

Meanwhile investigations are still ongoing to unravel the mystery behind the bombing of the herdsmen returning to their camps with cattle released by the Benue state cattle vigilante for violation of extant laws against cattle wandering in Benue state.
