Nigeria Decide 2023: Jos Witnessed A Large Turnouts Of Voters

As early as 8.am on Saturday morning , most of the polling units in Jos the Plateau State capital witness a large turnout of voters who started their accreditation at about 8:30 am , the electorate expressed their determination to vote against all odds, come shine come rain.

NEWSng gathered that voting materials arrived late in some polling units but the voters remained adamant, calm and waited patiently in their units in peaceful manner to cast their votes. Voters in most of the polling units in Tudun Wada / Kabong Ward arrived early and conducted themselves well during the exercise. One of the electorate Mr. Ishaya Agwom told Newsng in Karbon that ” the conduct of the election so far is well organized and the turnout is very impressive and that INEC has improved their duties ” he concluded.

According to sources available to Newsng, Mrs. Grace Davo in Tudun Wada also confirmed that, ” in some polling units voting continued till as late as 9.pm with electorate still casting their votes because of the late arrival of voting materials and large turnout of voters. Malfunction of BVAS in some units is also a contributing factor that delayed the exercise.” She added.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Plateau state , Dr. Oliver Agulu said that ,” the Independent Electoral Commission will conduct election in some part of the state on Sunday ” .

In one of the polling units visited by Newsng, polling center 008 in Tudun Wada / Karbon Ward labour Party scored 411 votes followed by PDP with 31 votes and APC with 26 votes , these results are announced by the units presiding officer and it is similar in most of the polling units visited in the Ward.
