Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, declared that Nigeria is a nation brimming with potential and promise, speaking at the Elevate Africa Global Convening in Abuja.

The Elevate Africa convening, initiated by the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, and Her Royal Highness Olori, is a media-driven initiative dedicated to reshaping the narrative of the African continent. Through the power of storytelling, Elevate Africa aims to empower African solutions, enhance collaboration within and beyond the continent, and drive socio-economic advancement.

The convening seeks to elevate Africa’s self-image and global perception, fostering a dignified and collaborative Africa through transformative initiatives including media, convening, fellowships, and think tanks.

The event will facilitate multi-level knowledge transfer among global and national leaders, forge strategic partnerships, and empower indigenous solutions to promote positive and empowering narratives about Africa.

Speaking at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, the venue of the program, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, represented by the Wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, emphasized the importance of this gathering.

“This gathering is an opportunity to share the vast potentials of the great continent of Africa, to understand what defines her, and to explore the prospects for tomorrow,” she stated.

Hajiya Nana Shettima reiterated the need to explore the continent’s vast potential, urging youth to take advantage of the enabling environment created by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. She emphasized the need to harness the creativity, talent, and resilience of young Africans as the leaders of tomorrow.

The event, well-attended by dignitaries from all walks of life, featured goodwill messages from notable figures including former President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga,
Representative Kim Schofield, Member of the Georgia House of Representatives, United States of America among others.

Elevate Africa represents a significant step towards empowering Africa’s narrative and harnessing its potential for a brighter future. Through its convening, the initiative seeks to create a platform for collaboration, innovation, and positive change, ensuring that Africa’s voice is heard and its potential realized on the global stage.
