Nigeria: MNJTF troops arrest 19 Boko Haram elements, clears hideout in Borno

The troops of Sector 3 Multinational Joint Task Force(MNJTF), have arrested 19 suspected Boko Haram and recovered several weapons from their hideouts in Borno state, North East Nigeria.
The terrorists were intercepted and arrested on April 29, at Kangori village, located about 17km West of Damasak, during intensified patrols, raids and mop up operation by the troops of OPERATION DESERT/LAKE SANITY II, at the Bulabulin general area.
It was gathered that the troops also recovered some IEDs making equipment, 6 ak 47 magazines among other weapons.
The troops equally burnt down some of their harmlets said to be operational base of the Boko Haram terrorists.
This latest success underscores the continuing efforts of the Nigerian military to neutralize the Boko Haram threat and restore peace and stability in the Northeast region.
