Nigeria: Troops kills 4 Boko Haram destroy 6 newly established camps in Mafa

Troops of 195 Battalion, Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), on December 5, killed  four  Boko Haram terrorists in Mafa general area of Borno state, northeast Nigeria.

It was gathered that the troops, acting on credible intelligence, stormed the hideouts of the terrorists in karkut and Koshobe communities.

NEWSng learnt that the troops came in contact with the insurgents at Karkut while it was clearing  kezemari and  Ladinbuta villages.

A security source also informed that the battalion in conjunction with Civilian Joint Taskforce engaged the terrorists in a gun duel noting that Due to superior fire power, the  troops inflicted casualties on the insurgents, killing four instantly while others withdrew in disarray. 

The sources said that six of the  newly established camps of the terrorists were also drestoyed whe .  granades, weapons  and handset were also recovered at the area.

According to him, the vigilant troops, who left no stone unturned during the clearance operation, combed the entire area, destroying several identified camps of the terrorists.
