Nigeria: Troops neutrialised 8 Boko Haram in Banki, recover weapons

Troops of 152 Battalion Banki of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have neutralised eight Boko Haram terrorists in Banki, Bama local government area of Borno State, northeast Nigeria.

NEWSng gathered that the insurgents were killed on Monday evening in an ambush along the axis Mayinty and Darajamal.

A counter-insurgency expert, who confirmed the attack, said that the troops in collaboration with Civilian Joint Task Force(CJTF), and hunters ambushed the terrorists and nutrialised them.

“The terrorists who have been hibernating within the general area were converging to carry out attacks within Banki general area before they were intercepted and nutrialised.

“The Troops recovered 6 Ak47 rifles, two motorcycles and several other items in the aftermath of the Ambush.” He said.
