NNPC, others donates relief materials to victims of fire disaster in Borno

The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC and other Multinational oil companies, has donated materials to over four hundred and fifty eight families affected by the fire disaster at Muna El-Badawi IDP camp in Borno state, northeast Nigeria.
The items donated by Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC and other Multinational oil companies, where received by the Director General Borno state Emergency Management Agency Hajiya Yabawa Kolo
Recall that the fire outbreak recently destroyed the entire El-Badawi camp located in Jere Local government, leaving the already displaced people in dire need of assistance.
Representative of the Director General Borno state Emergency Management Agency SEMA Alhaji Gadau Monguno presented the relief items to victims of the recent fire disaster at Muna El-Badawi camp in Borno state.

The DG SEMA who was represented by Special Adviser to the Governor on Emergency Affairs Alhaji Gadau Monguno, observed that the intervention is coming at a time when the government is trying to close down all camps in Maiduguri by the end of the year.
The DG called on donor agencies and Non-governmental organisations to key into the Borno state government plan of resettling IDPs to their communities.
One of the implementing partners, Managing Director Dan Garu Global Resources, Alhaji Abdullahi Zubairu said the support is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Two of the beneficiaries Dunoma Galtai and Kaka Lawan Grema appreciated NNPC and other partners for coming to their aid at a critical time of need.
Each household will receive bags of rice, beans and millet, vegetable and palm oil, condiments, blanket and mosquito net.
