PHOTO-NEWS: TPF sensitize girls on menstrual hygiene, GBV in Borno

Thalma Peace Foundation has in its continuous sensitization efforts to educate women and girls on the needs for hygiene awareness and gender base violence recently takes its campaign to Government Girls College, Maiduguri, where the organization keeps the girls abraced of its activities and sensitized them on issues of gender base violence and menstrual hygiene.

Fatima Mohammed Mafi, who spoke with the students during her session takes them through the importance a good menstrual hygiene. While the organisations focal person, Rifkatu lalai speaks on gender based violence and it’s attendant dangers. She encourage the students to always ensure to report such cases to authorities and never to keep silent on matters as such.

The meeting ended with fanfare and exchange of pleasantries between the organization and the student, where the students were also encourage to study their books and reminded of their future as the leader of tomorrow.
