Police Arrest Two Over Beheading of 10-Year-Old Almajiri in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the brutal murder of a 10-year-old Almajiri, Abdalla Lawali, in Jada Local Government Area.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspects, identified as Ibrahim Abdulmalik (27) and Aliyu Abdulmalik (18), were apprehended following credible intelligence linking them to the crime.
Sources confirmed that Lawali, a resident of Agwan Dubai, was reported missing on March 7, 2025. Investigations led to the arrest of the two suspects from Agwan Sarkin Yamma, who later confessed to beheading the child.
The police visited the crime scene, where both the body and severed head of the victim were recovered.
The sources said the Adamawa Police Command has assured the public that a discreet investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the gruesome act while suspects would be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law.

Police Operatives Rescue Kidnapped Victim in Adamawa, Perpetrators on the Run

The Nigerian Police Force in Adamawa have successfully rescued a kidnapped victim, Vincent Philemon, during a coordinated raid on criminal hideouts in Numan.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that Philemon, a resident of Ngwallang, was abducted on March 16, 2025.
The sources said following intelligence-driven operations, police personnel stormed suspected hideouts at about 2020hrs on March 17, leading to his rescue.
The victim was found unharmed and was immediately taken to the General Hospital in Numan for medical evaluation.
Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the perpetrators of the crime.

Gunmen Kidnap Two in Kontagora, Police Launch Rescue Operation

The Niger State Police Command has launched a manhunt for unidentified gunmen who kidnapped two individuals from a residence in Bayanwaya Area, Kontagora.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on March 17, around 1:00 a.m. when armed assailants stormed the residence of one Hamza Muhammad and abducted his younger sister, Fatima Muhammad, along with another victim, Aminu Maiguga.
The victims were taken to an unknown destination.
Upon receiving the report at about 12:30 p.m., police operatives initiated a search-and-rescue operation, deploying tactical teams to track the kidnappers and secure the safe return of the victims.

Suspected Kidnapper Shot Dead in Chibok, Borno

A suspected kidnapper, identified as Buba Isa (25) of Gadarma Village, Chibok LGA, was shot dead by local vigilantes at Mbalala Market after attempting to resist arrest.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the he incident occurred at about 4:00 p.m. when the suspect’s father, Isa, alerted local vigilantes about his son’s presence in the market.
Upon confrontation, the suspect drew a cutlass, attempting to attack the vigilantes. In response, he was neutralized while trying to flee the scene.
