Police in Maiduguri on monday 4th December defused an IED~ improvised explosive device detected at the entrance of the University of Maiduguri, specifically Gate one.
Responding promptly, the Anti-bomb Squad personnel were dispatched to the scene, effectively defusing the potentially dangerous explosive device.safely neutralized the explosives.
The discovery of the IED near Gate 1 entrance triggered panic among staff and students, particularly those currently writing their end-of-session exams.
Both the university and security authorities have not issued any statements regarding the incident.
