Police investigate murder of female inspector in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has commenced investigation into the murder of a female police officer, Inspector Kpoobari Bonwin, whose body was discovered behind an abattoir along the Idemili Flyover in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area.

Zagazola Makama report that the deceased, who was a prosecutor attached to Obosi Police Station, had gone to court earlier in the day but failed to return home or to the office after the court session.

Her husband, Inspector Aloysius Bonwin, who serves with the 31 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Asaba, identified the body and further disclosed that an unspecified amount of money had been transferred from her UBA account to an unknown account.

Sources said the incident was being treated as a case of murder and that detectives had commenced an investigation to track down the perpetrators.

It assured that further developments would be communicated as the investigation progresses.
