Potiskum Education Fund: Minister of Power Mobilizes Over N40m

The Minister of Power, Engr. Abubakar D Aliyu FNSE (Jarman Potiskum) has mobilized financial support worth #40 Million from organizations and individuals for Potiskum local government area education appeal fund.

This is part of the mobilization of resources for the take up of Yobe state education trust fund in line with Governor Mai Mala Buni’s directives on post insurgency education recovery in the state.

The donations mobilized by the minister of power, Engr D Aliyu include Sermatech Nigeria Limited #10 million, Mothercat Nig. Ltd #10 million, CCECC Nig Ltd #10 million and Sake Machines Ltd #10 million respectively.

The Minister also lauded the vision of Governor Mai Mala Buni by setting up the education trust fund, adding that his commitment to putting Yobe state ahead in the area of education is a testament to his great vision for the state.

Jarman Potiskum urged the people of Yobe state, Nigerians and the World at large to support the effort to revive education in Yobe state.

“By reaching out to individuals, organizations and other stakeholders both in Nigeria and around the world, he described education as the responsibility of all.” He added.

The Minister also donated #3 million on behalf of himself and his family, noting that, he will continue to seek support for reviving education in Yobe state
