Prof. Ahmed Ahidjo To Be Confer With Productivity Award 2022

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo will be conferred with the National Productivity Order of Merit Award on the 12th May, 2022 in Abuja.   

NEWSng learnt that the CMD is among selected Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in the lines of their assignment for the nation and humanity.

According to a letter explaining his choice for the award, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo’s selection was following the progress and development of medical facilities in the teaching hospital since he took over the management of the hospital.

Staff and associates of the CMD told NEWSng that his selection did not come to them as a surprise owing to his focus in the administration of the Maiduguri Teaching hospital since he came onboard.   

A letter dated May 4th 2022 and  signed by the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment Senator (Dr) Chris Nwabueze Ngige (OON)  also reads: “The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu  Buhari GCFR  has approved the conferment of National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award on you in recognition of your high productivity, hard work and excellence.” .
