Governor Buni started this in a press release issued and signed by Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, Director General Press and Media Affairs, to the Governor Mai Mala Buni, which she shared with newsmen in Damaturu.
He prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to accept every act of worship executed by the people during the holy month.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the one-month religious obligation, I enjoin us all to take the lessons of sacrifice, care, and compassion exhibited during the fasting period beyond the Ramadan season.
Governor Mai Mala Buni enjoined the Muslims to be good neighbors and extend the spirit of the season to their neighbors, while commending the security agencies in the state for their valued contributions to the peace and stability of the state.
He reminded the people to continue praying for the unity, peace, security, and prosperity of Yobe State and Nigeria.
“I am particularly impressed with the massive feeding program provided by the government, individuals, and corporate organizations to orphans, indigent families, and vulnerable groups. This should be encouraged even after Ramadan,” Buni said.
Governor Buni revealed that the government would this year launch a massive agricultural program to facilitate an agricultural revolution in Yobe State to enhance food sufficiency and security.
He expressed the gratitude of the government and the people of Yobe State to Almighty Allah for the improved peace and security now enjoyed across the state.
Governor Mai Mala Buni CON uses this opportunity to appeal to the good people of Yobe State, especially our energic youth, to take advantage of this intervention to explore, exploit, and expand the agricultural potentials in your various communities.
