Rector CAMTECH commends Governor Buno on support for Education in Yobe

The Rector College of Administration, Management and Technology (CAMTECH) Potiskum, Mallam Ibrahim Bomai Zarma has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his untiring support and developmental strides in the educational sector of the state.
Bomai Zarma made the commendation when he received the National Board for Technical Education (NBTEs) Resources Inspection/Verification team in the college council chamber.
He also gave kudos Governor Mai Mala Buni for playing a key role in changing the edits of the college from Monotechnic status to Polytechnic status.
Bomai revealed that, the college was established in 1957 as a clerical centre by the then Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna of Sokoto cartered for the provision of clerical assistants to the Northern Nigeria and the college witnessed many changes in nomenclatures before reaching its present status.
“Much of our achievements are made possible with the cooperation and understanding of our governing council and his members for they are always there for us.” The Rector added.
Mallam Ibrahim Bomai Zarma also thanked the Commissioner Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology, Professor Muhammed Munkaila for his support towards developing tertiary education in Yobe state and beyond.

He assured the members of the team the readiness of the college to seek for accreditation even on an interim basis of the following courses.
Agricultural and Bio- Environmental Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Crime Management Technology and Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology.
Others are Environmental Science Technology, Estate Management and Valuation Technology, Food Technology, Health Information Management, Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health, Science Laboratory Technology and Statistics.
Responding on behalf of the Resources Inspection team, the Chairman of the team, Dr Ibrahim Bello Bashir thanked the Rector and the management of the college for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to them.
He promised to assist the college in achieving the desired objectives, adding that, as partners in progress, we are here to discharge our duties diligently without fear or favour.
