Religious bigotry has no place in Borno – Senator Shettima

The Vice Presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress APC Senator Kashim Shetima has said that religious sentiment has no place in Borno state.
Shettima stated this while calling on the citizens to continuously come out in enmass to register their Personal Voter Card PVC or validate the existing ones at the registration centre nearest to them.
Senator Kashim Shetima made assertion while interacting with the indigenous journalists at his new mansion, along polo Road Maiduguri, Borno state capital on Satuday evening after most of guests who have attended the wedding ceremony of daughter departed to their various respective destinations in and outside the country.
The former Borno Governor married out his daughter to the son of former minister of FCT, Abuja and one of the founding father of People Democratic Party PDP, Arch. Ibrahim Bunu Wulgo.

Senator Kashim Shetima who was a two times governor and a chairman of Northern governors forum reiterate that he has built and refurbished more than one hundreds mosques and over two hundred (200) churches that was destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents during his tenure.
Upon the expression of immense gratitude and thank given message the APC vice presidential candidate Senator Kashim shetima has said that there’s no single word that is capable to convey his worth of gratitude for all those who attended the wedding ceremony.
Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu led other dignitaries to attend the wedding ceremony of the daughter of his running mate Kashim Shettima.
The president Mohammadu Buhari was represented at the wedding by President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari and National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno.
NEWSng gathered that 12 gold coins were paid as dowry at the ceremony, witnessed by other dignitaries.
Mr. Shetima thanks Senate President Amed Lawan, Aliko Dangote, Dahiru Mangal, Ahmed Indimi, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and his Jigawa counterpart, Gov. Abubakar Badaru.
Govs. Mai-Mala Buni of Yobe, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, I-GP Usman Baba Alkali, and APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu also graced the event.
He further thanked his colleagues of university community, banking industry, speaker and deputy speaker of House of Representatives, ministers, governors, NNPC managing directors among others.
He also appreciates the presence of former Borno military governor Col. Victor Ozozunobi.
The marriage rites were conducted at the Shehu of Borno’s Palace where the bride, Fatima was represented by Gov. Zulum of Borno, while the bridegroom, Sadiq Ibrahim, the son of former Minister of FCT/Abuja, Ibrahim Bunu, was represented by former Governor of Bauchi, Ahmadu Muazu.
Senator Shetima also thanked the Borno state governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum who he described as he boss for his support and sacrificed to make sure that the event hold peacefully and hitch free. Alhamdulillah
He then advised the couple to always exercise patience which he described as a key to a successful life in general.
