Remove Cuba from Terrorism List, Nigerian Movement Demands of the US

By: Comrade Abiodun Aremu

The Nigeria Movement of Solidarity With Cuba is asserting itself, insisting on its own conditionalities for the United States authorities and conveying same in its own vocabulary. Read on!

Nigeria’s official relationship with CUBA started in 1970 with diplomatic status and relations between the peoples in Nigeria and Cuba exists, Cuba is historical and necessary.

But the relationship between Nigerians and the Cuban people dates back to centuries of the predominant black population in Cuba who are descendants of the African people carried and enslaved for capitalist exploitation and dehumanization for close to 400-years of colonialism! And today in Cuba exists the Yoruba, Hausa, Egun, Ibibio, Urhobo because in Cuba exists the Yoruba, Hausa, Egun, Ibibio, Efik, Urhobo and other ethnic groups from African origin, who are relationship ofe people Nigerians involvement with involvement with

Let the US authority and its imperial allies know and understand that as the Nigerian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, our identification with the Cuban revolution and the Cuban people is historical and necessary! And as a Nigerian Movement, we have been a major participant and signatory to the Declarations and Resolutions of the African Meetings and Conferences that held since 2010 in Angola, Ethiopia, Namibia, Nigeria and South Africa. In fact, as the Nigerian Movement, we hosted the 6thAfrican Meeting successfully. Although the Nigerian Government was officially invited and encouraged to attend, the Government denied itself the opportunity but some Nigerian patriots in Government and outside of it massively attended the conference with an attendance close to 400 participants!

We have the cause to say it and repeat it that Cuba is not and NEVER a terrorist country, a fact the US authority itself knows. CUBA stands for Socialism, which the country has defended consistently for over 66-years of its revolutionary triumph! And it is with same the truth of and in Socialism that Cuba defended and liberated the Southern African countries of South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia. It is with the same truth of Socialism that Cuba excelled in humanitarian duties when the country, despite everything, sent its doctors to almost 60 nations across the world!

It is high time to call on the conscientious population all over the world, including the citizens of the US and governments with laudable programmes and policies for their populations, to speak out, petition and take steps to call the US to order. It is no longer content for the rest of the world to allow the US Authority to hold the world to ransom because of its obsession for exploitation and criminal atrocities!

The fact and the current realty remains that, it is the US establishment that has framed Cuba all the time, including its devilish arrest and trials of the Cuban Five (patriots) and their imprisonment for treason, the grooming of US citizens and Cuban dissidents in Florida-USA for terrorist and counter revolutionary sabotage operations and invasion of Cuba! It is the same policy of hostility, insanity and hypocrisy to Cuba that compelled the Bay of Pigs invasion by the US administration of President Kennedy that failed woefully as well as over 600 assassinations attempts to kill Comandante Fidel Castro, including other numerous attacks and sabotage acts such as the blowing off of a Cuban Airline. These are just few of the US Establishment’s atrocities against humanity!

Even as recently as May 15, 2024, when the US Secretary of State presented its 2023 report of non-compliance to anti-terrorist efforts to the US Congress, the report did not find Cuba wanting! How come if not cheap character assassination for the US to keep Cuba on its so-called list of infamy and terrorist countries! It is time to remove Cuba from that despicable list.
Ever Onward to the Cuban People!
Long Live President Diaz Carnel and the Government of Cuba!
Ever Lasting Victory to the Cuban Revolution!
