Renewed Hope Initiative: 37, 000 Petty Traders Receive ₦1.85 Billion Recapitalization Grant

In a historic simultaneous flag-off across the 36 states and FCT, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) launched its Economic Empowerment Program, aimed at alleviating poverty, promoting self-reliance among women, and boosting Nigeria’s economy.
1,000 female petty traders in each state received a ₦50,000 grant to recapitalize their businesses, totalling ₦1.85 billion nationwide.
In Adamawa State, Wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, represented the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the flag-off event.
She charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the grant towards making life better for their families.
HE Nana Shettima enumerated the importance of the RHI economic empowerment program, which she mentioned is a step towards making women grow in their various trades and businesses
Hajiya Lami Fintiri, Wife of the Adamawa State Governor, received a ₦50,000,000 cheque on behalf of the 1,000 beneficiaries selected from the 21 Local Government Areas of Adamawa State.
This initiative marks a significant step towards empowering women and revitalizing the economy, demonstrating the RHI’s commitment to sustainable development and poverty reduction.”
