Risk Professionals to hold annual conference in Abuja

The risk professionals of Nigeria will be gathering in the Nation’s capital Abuja on November 27, 2021 to discuss risk culture, election risk and corporate sustainability as part of its annual conference.
A statement from Lare Adams, Director Press Chartered Institute of loan and risk management of Nigeria, the gathering will be an interaction that will set a new standard for the genre as real life and real time discussions are set to happen.
“The conference will present opportunities; For mitigating risks especially in electioneering and corporate sustainability. For focus on specific areas and for various players in government and industry (bringing in the new player interaction module for risk management).
“Risk is everywhere; avoiding one risk often leads us to another. For example, eliminating nuclear power would actually prevent related radio-active accidents, burning more fossil fuel would increase acid rain and the greenhouse-effect on climate.

“For people in business the issue is not whether to take risks but how to take reasonable risks. Business risks have broad impacts that affect customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers and the general public. In the same vein, decision makers in government have to face risks as regards managing a peaceful nation, the law and its use, the economy, national security, social ills, disease control and international relations.” The Statement said
This conference presents its participants’ answer to “HOW” to mitigate risks whether at corporate, industry level and at government and national level.
