Security Forces Restore Order After Religious Clash in Plateau

Security Forces in Plateau State have restored normalcy to Shimankar town in Shendam Local Government Area following a clash between a masquerade group and members of the Muslim community.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Malama that three dispute, which erupted at about 0230hrs, escalated into a violent confrontation, leaving four members of the masquerade group with varying degrees of injuries. Additionally, some shops in the area were affected.

In response, Security Forces were swiftly deployed to the scene to prevent further violence.

Authorities confirmed that the situation is now under control, with security operatives closely monitoring developments to prevent any resurgence of hostilities.

The authorities urged residents to remain calm and avoid actions that could incite further tensions.
