Barr Kaka Shehu Lawan SAN, Senator representing Borno Central, has empowered 350 constituents through an intensive three-day training program. The initiative focused on equipping participants with skills in poultry production and fashion design, providing them with tools to improve their livelihoods. At the end of the program, each participant received N100,000 as startup capital along with a certificate of competence.

Representing the senator, Hon. Ali Umar Bolori, Special Adviser to Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, praised the senator’s commitment to his constituents, noting that “politics only gets sweeter when elected representatives graciously remember their constituents.” He emphasized that Senator Lawan is dedicated to addressing the needs of Borno Central.

MMC APC Party Chairman Alhaji Waziri Bukar commended Senator Lawan’s effective approach to constituency projects, describing Borno Central as fortunate to have such a proactive representative. He encouraged the beneficiaries to utilize their new skills and capital to enhance their economic stability.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Senator Lawan, describing the empowerment program as both timely and impactful, helping them to move towards financial independence and stability.
