Senator Lawan attends an agricultural empowerment scheme in Yobe

The President of the Ninth Senate, Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, Ph.D., GCON, Sardaunan Bade, Yobe North Senatorial District, has today arrived in Yobe State ahead of the Agricultural Empowerment Scheme organized by my Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON.

In a statement issued and signed by the former Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan, Ph.D., GCON, made available to newsmen in Damaturu, the occasion was set to be flagged off today, Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Damaturu.

“On my arrival yesterday, I was received to a rousing welcome by my teeming supporters in Potiskum. I was thereafter welcomed by another group of excited supporters in Damaturu.” Senator Ahmed Lawan said.

“I am truly grateful for the overwhelming reception I received from them in Potiskum and Damaturu as I arrived in Yobe State. The outpouring of love and support from them was truly humbling and energizing.”

He revealed that he cannot thank each and every one of them enough for their faith in him and for their warm welcome. 

“The memory will serve as motivation for me to work hard to make a more positive impact.” Lawan said.
