Six kidnapped victims regain freedom in Peace accord in Katsina

Atleast six kidnapped victims from Danjanku village in Musawa Local Government Area have regained their freedom from captivity.

He said the victims were released on Saturday under the existing peace accord framework of Operation Safe Corridor.

The victims Sa’adatu Musa (16), Amina Musa (13), Salisu Musa (12), Ibrahim Musa (12), Wasila Jafaru (20), and Al’amin Jafaru (2 months) were freed by their captors as part of the peace deal.

The victims were received at the Yantumaki Forest by the Chairman of Musawa Local Government Area, after which they were taken to the Comprehensive Health Centre, Musawa, for medical examination.

They were later reunited with their families, while security agencies continue to monitor the situation closely.
