Suspected Boko Haram terrorists abduct teenager in Adamawa

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have abducted an 18-year-old boy, Azura Ayuba, in Kopre village, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa.

Sources said that the incident occurred on Thursday.

The sources said the victim and another boy, identified as Augustine, 17, went into the bush at about 1:25 p.m. to fetch firewood when they encountered the terrorists.

According to the sources , the insurgents, numbering about 20, abducted the two boys but Augustine managed to escape and returned home, while Ayuba was taken away.

The sources said that on receipt of the report, a joint task force troops of the Operation HADIN KAI, and members of the Civilian JTF, launched a manhunt to rescue the victim.
