Terrorists suspected to be members of Islamic State for West African Province, ISWAP hundreds in numbers have invaded Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno state in northeast Nigeria.
Kautikari is located East and about 15km drive from Chibok town where about 300 school girls were abducted in 2014.
It was earlier rumoured on Thursday evening that fighters of the ISWAP have been seen gathering near the village, which according to locals it was reported to security operatives before the attack.
“We do not know why the security forces did not come to the area when they were informed. This is very unfortunate and sad.” Kolo Mutah, a local from Kautikari told NEWSng

It was gathered that the Insurgents killed four residents and abducted an unspecified number of women and children, as more are still missing, some of the fleeing residents informed.
A Church in the village and some residential buildings were burnt down by the Insurgents.
Speaking on the attack, one of the indigene of Kautikari village living in Maiduguri told NEWSng that “Our people of Kautikari are displaced following the attack on the community on Friday which is also our market day.
“The armed insurgents killed four people, destroyed shops and looted food items. They also abducted scores of women and children as many are still missing.
“Our Church has been razed down, including my father in law’s house and shops in the community. I spoke with some of the family and they told me they are all safe, though displaced now.
“Unfortunately, my mother inlaw’s cell phone was snatched from her by the terrorists. I received a distress call from the snatched phone this morning by the insurgents demanding for a recharge card. This is very sad.” He said
