The New Madakin Tikau Commits to Rules and Regulations Governing Emirate Council
By: Yahaya Wakili
The new Madaki of Tikau emirate council in Yobe state, Alhaji Aliyu Saleh Bagare, has promised to abide by all the rules and regulations governing the emirate council.
Alhaji Aliyu Saleh Bagare, who is also the former deputy governor of Yobe State, disclosed this at Garin Kaduwa while receiving a letter of his upgrading him from Turaki to Madaki of Tikau.
He thanked Almighty Allah for showing us the day of October 24th, 2023, and also thanked His Royal Highness, the emir of Tikau, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema LLD, for upgrading him from Turaki to Madaki of Tikau.
“I assure him that I will not be found guilty of any misconduct; I will abide by the rules and regulations governing the emirate council, because serving the people is not a new thing to me. I work in the civil service, rose to the rank of director, and later retired and joined politics, where I became the deputy governor of Yobe State for 8 years.
“By the grace of God, at that time, I discharge my responsibility diligently; they didn’t find me with any misconduct, they didn’t find me with corruption, and I am among the best loyal deputy governors in Nigeria; I work and finish peacefully with my boss.” He said.
Therefore, as I was loyal to the emirate at the time I was Turaki, I will do more than that as the new Madaki of the Tikau emirate, and I promise not to work for the emirate. Instead, I will work in politics, which His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni assigned me to do, and I will do my job with honesty and justice.
The new madaki further revealed that I am in the emirate since I am a small boy. I grow there and started my primary school in Nangere. Later, I completed it at Sabon Gari Primary School in Potiskum, went to Teachers College Potiskum, and later on proceeded to ABU Zaria Institute of Administration to obtain a diploma in accounting.
He thanked the royal father and the members of the emirate council, especially the Chiroman Tikau, Alhaji Ibrahim Talba CON. By the grace of God, I will justify my confidence response by trying my best to move the emirate forward.
Alhaji Aliyu Saleh Bagare prays to Almighty Allah to continue to bless and upgrade the Tikau emirate council and command the emir, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema, in his effort to upgrade the image of the emirate, especially in promoting the religion in the emirate.
“He promised to continue supporting the effort of the emir in enlightening the people on the religion of God, adding that what Allah gives you in the world, he will ask you in heaven. God blessed Tikau emirate council; God blessed Nangere local government area; God blessed Yobe state; and God blessed the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
