Three individuals who were abducted along the Guzape–Abacha Barracks bypass in Abuja have regained their freedom following intensified search and rescue efforts by local vigilantes and community security outfits.
Zagazola Makama, gathered from security sources that the victims Ibrahim Mohammed, Sylvester Danjuma, and Cynthia John were reportedly released late Monday night, around 11:00 p.m., near the Waru–Wasa Forest area, days after their suspected abduction.
Zagazola recalls that on June 22, two Toyota Corolla vehicles were found abandoned along the bypass, raising alarm about a possible abduction of the occupants.
In response, coordinated efforts by security forces and residents were launched across surrounding communities and forest corridors to locate and secure the release of the missing individuals.
Family sources and eyewitnesses confirmed that the victims were freed without reported injuries and have since been reunited with their loved ones.
Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators behind the abduction, while investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
