There is time to be born and time to die in between this space is the privilege to serve God and humanity. Late Mr. David Nzitri Balami was a father, brother, uncle and a grandfather. He was a tra4ned journalist who lived as one.
Balami worked throughout his life as a newsman and as editor. His days in New Nigeria Newspaper Kaduna and The Nigerian Standard Newspaper Jos were remarkable, said his colleagues.
David Balami was a strong member of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NU) he served as Chairman of Borno 8tate chapter from (1982- 1984). His tenure saw the repositioning of the Union including membership derive, accreditation and registration which gave birth to the Correspondents chapel of Borno state.

He equally stood for the interest of all practicing journalists in the state. The Kate Veteran was born on the 11th July, 1950. Attended Yoruba Baptist Primary School Sabon Garin Zaria, Baptist High School Jos set of 1969. Studied Journalism at the famous London School of Journalism.
Before his death he was a founding member of Borno State Veteran Journalists Forum. Mr. David Nzitri Balami died on the 9th May, 2022 and left behind his wife and children. He was 72 years old.
