Troops arrest two suspected drug peddlers in Barkin Ladi, Plateau

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have arrested two suspected drug peddlers at Maijankai village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Security sources said the suspects, Nandon Calap, 24, and Alex Awusis, 26, were apprehended at about 7:00 a.m. on March 25 by troops of Sector 4, Sub-Sector 41.

Items recovered from the suspects included an illicit substance identified as methamphetamine (ice), a smoke pipe, a small bottle of smoking booker, some wrappers of the drug, an Opay ATM card, six mobile phones, and a total sum of ₦2,750.

The suspects were profiled and handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Barkin Ladi, for further investigation and action.
