Armed bandits have kidnapped two students of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State during an attack in the early hours of Tuesday.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the assailants stormed the Graveyard Quarters along Tsaskiya Road in Dutsin-Ma town around 2:40 a.m. and abducted the students, whose identities are yet to be confirmed.
Upon receiving the distress call, security forces mobilized to block possible escape routes and rescue the victims. However, the operation was not immediately successful as the bandits had already fled to an unknown location.
The security agencies have assured that a search-and-rescue mission is ongoing to track down the kidnappers and secure the students’ safe release.
