Two vigilantes killed as bandits loyal to Alhaji Baita attack Adabka community in Zamfara

Armed bandits suspected to be loyalists of a notorious kingpin, Alhaji Baita, have attacked Adabka community in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara, killing two vigilantes and injuring four others.
Zagazola learnt that the incident occurred at about 1:00 p.m. on Aug. 27.
It was gathered that the assailants invaded the outskirts of Adabka community, attracting the attention of residents who mobilised local vigilantes to confront them.
“Unfortunately, the bandits overpowered the vigilantes, forcing them to retreat. Two vigilantes were shot dead while four others sustained gunshot wounds,” said the sources.
The corpses were later released to their families for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
