Unimaid student kidnapped in Kogi, family calls on IGP to rescue him

The relatives of one of the passengers trapped in a commercial bus and kidnapped recently by bandits in Kogi state have called on the Inspector General of police ( IGP) Kayode Egbetokun to assist in freeing their ward from the criminals.
Their son name withheld who is a final year student of the University of Maiduguri unimaid was kidnapped on Sunday while traveling from Abuja to Owerri on a popular ABC transport bus.
Trouble started for the commuters while traversing through Kogi state, where the bus was stopped at Aloma community within Ofu council area of the state and hijacked.
The entire bus was diverted to the bush and nothing has been heard about their release yet except intermittent calls for huge amounts to be paid by each family.
“My brother was Kidnapped on Sunday afternoon on his way from Abuja to Owerri the capital of Imo state on ABC transport to go visit our mum.
“The entire passengers were kidnapped in Aloma, Ofu Local Government Area, of Kogi State.” Said a relative of the kidnapped unimaid student who did not want his name in print.
Attempts to get the spokesman of the police command in Kogi William Aya to speak on the development was not successful as he said he was on transit and could not speak about the matter until later.
Meanwhile the waiting game by the family members continues.
