University of Maiduguri gets New Bursar

Malam Ibrahim Umar has been appointed new Bursar University of Maiduguri in Borno state, northeast Nigeria.
A statement from the Deputy Director Information, Mohammed Ahmed said until his appointment, Malam Ibrahim Umar was the Deputy Bursar of the University.
Aged fifty-seven (57) Malam Ibrahim Umar joined the services of the University of Maiduguri as Clarical Assistant (Accounts) in the Bursary Department and rose through the ranks.

He takes over from Malam Yahaya Yunusa Malgwi, whose tenure expired on 19th May, 2022.
A letter to the effect states that, Malam Ibrahim Umar will serve the University for a period of single term of five years as stipulated in paragraph three (3) of the Memorandum of Appointment.
“The new Bursar started his educational career at Kara Primary School, Potiskum local government area of Yobe state from 1972-1978 and Government Secondary School Technical Buni from 1979 – 1984.
“From 1996 – 200 he was at the University of Maiduguri where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and a Certificate in Computer Appreciation from Accountants in 2014 and 2019 respectively from the University of Maiduguri.” The statement said
Malam Ibrahim Umar is happily married.
