Video: The leaked revelations that led to the execution of Ya’Sharu, Boko Haram’s top cleric

A leaked video has surfaced where a top cleric of the Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād (Boko Haram) group was paraded over an alleged felony before he was executed.

Ya Sharu was heard berating the leadership of Boko Haram and informing other members that they were misleading the religion of Allah.

Ya Sharu said, “Martyrs, see what Mallam Ali, Alai Ari, and Abba have prepared, including those in authority; they are all the same, including Man-sabiku; they are deceiving the religion of Allah.

“They told Mallam Ali (Ari Hajja Fusambe) to gather guns after this road, but apart from the only big one in KoltaFargi (Gaizuwa), there was nothing; they (ISWAP) seized the weapons.

“And they also directed that scholars and the knowledgeable clerics be killed one by one and that they should not be killed physically but to explore other tactics and say they were killed while fighting war or judgment inflicted on themselves and got killed. This is what they say and are planning to do. That’s why I informed you.”.

Ya Sharu was from Mafoni and a resident of Maiduguri before joining the terror organization. He was one of the respected clerics who commanded the voice of his followers. However, like other fighters, he too had discovered that the Boko Haram sect was nothing but a fraud and devilish enterprise. He was determined to form severe links with the group.

He had earlier taken his wife and children out of the forest. But while he was making efforts to surrender, his audio was busted, and he was caught and summarily executed by his former allies.

Zagazola learned that the terror group was particularly painful because Sharu was able to leak their strength and capability. He had revealed that Boko Haram had only one big gun and just about two Hilux vehicles in Gaizuwa on the Bama axis.
