Waziri of Dawa commends Buni on education development in Yobe

The Waziri of Dawa in Tikau emirate council of Yobe state, Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim, has commended the governor, Mai Mala Buni CON, for developing the state faster in the area of education and other infrastructure facilities and called on guidance in the area to send their children to school.

Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim, a H.O.D. of Fine and Arts at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Potiskum, made the plea in an interview with the newsmen in Dawa shortly after the presentation of his letter of appointment as a Waziri of Dawa.

He thanked the emir of Dawa, Alhaji Suleiman Yahaya Kuku, for giving him this appointment as a Wazirin Dawa and promised to abide by all the rules and regulations governing the title.

Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim said, “Governor Mai Mala Buni has tried his best to develop the state. Adding to that, I am a lecturer at the Federal College of Education Technical Potiskum, and I saw his efforts; he gave our students the indigens of Yobe state school fees and palliatives. Therefore, Governor Buni deserves kudos.”

“Governor Mai Mala Buni is listening to genuine advice and using it; he pays scholarships to our students because for a long time they didn’t get scholarships, but recently His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni paid them, so this will assist the students a lot in pursuing their further studies.” The Wazirin Dawa said.

He said education is the backbone of everything in life; without it, nothing will go well, and he called on all parents in the area to always send their children to school and sponsor their education.

“Being the traditional title holder of Dawa, I will try my best to enlighten our youth on the dangers of drug abuse and other social vices in the area and also call on the parents to intensify their efforts to enroll their children in schools as well as engage in businesses.”

He thanks the emir of Tikau, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema LLD, the district head of Langawa, and the emir of Dawa, Alhaji Suleiman Yahaya Kuku, for appointing him as a Wazirin Dawa to contribute his quarter toward the development of the emirate.
