Yobe adopts report of committee on Health

Yobe state House of Assembly has adopted the report of its standing committee on Health on the BILL for the amendment of LAW that established the state primary health care management Board 

Speaking after the adoption of the report, chairman House committee on Health Hon, Kachalla Ajiya Maina said the amendment of the law has become necessary in order to enable the Board meet the requirements of the National policy on primary healthcare 

Hon, Kachalla Ajiya Maina who also member is representing Machina constituency spoke at length on the importance of the amendment said it will improve the performance of the Board to ensure effective healthcare delivery services to the people of the state

The chairman also said the amendment of the LAW will increase the numbers of ex officious of the Board from six to ten to conform with the National policy 

He also said the amendment will change the name of the Board from primary healthcare management Board to primary healthcare Board 

Hon, Kachalla Ajiya Maina assured that the House committee on Health will work hand in hand with the ministry of Health and its Agencies to ensure effective healthcare delivery services in the state 

Presiding over the sitting, the speaker of the House Rt Hon, Ahmed Lawan Mirwa said the House has adopted all the recommendations of the committee with slight amendment
