Yobe Assembly confirms appointment of new caretaker chairmen
By: Yahaya WakiliYobe state House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of the nominees as Chairmen and members of the local government caretaker management committees to run the affairs of the 17 local government areas of the state for the period of six months.
Moving the motion, the leader of the House, Hon Bukar Mustapha seeking for the confirmation of the nominees which was presented to the house by the executive arm of government following the expiration of tenure of the elected chairmen of the local governments.
Those confirmed are Alhaji Baba Goni Mustapha Bade Fune local government, Alhaji Lawan Bukar Bursari, Alhaji Bukar Adamu Damaturu, Hajiya Halima Kyari Joda Fika, Alhaji Ibrahim Babagana Bade, Alhaji Ali Kolo Kachalla Geidam, Alhaji Dala Malah Gujba, Dayyabu Ilu Gulani, Abdullahi Ahmed Garba Jakusko and Alhaji Lawan Alhaji Gana Karasuwa local government.

Others are Alhaji Salisu Yarima Nangere, Alhaji Salisu Muktari Potiskum, Alhaji Bukar A. Bukar Machina, Alhaji Modu Kachalla Nguru, Alhaji Mohammed Lamido Musa Tarmuwa, Alhaji Dauda Bukar Yunusari and Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim Yusufari local government area.
The Speaker of the Yobe state House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Ahmed Lawan Mirwa urged the confirmed nominees to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them towards the development of the local government areas of the state.
