Yobe: Buni declares Feb. 7th work-free day to honor the late Bukar Abba Ibrahim.

In order to observe the three-day prayers for the late former governor of Yobe State, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Governor Mai Mala Buni has declared Wednesday, February 7, 2024, a work-free day.
Governor Buni urged the people of the state to use the period to pray for the repose of the soul of the late governor.
He said the day should be used to offer prayers for the former governor, who died in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
According to him, the three-day prayers for the late former governor, who died and was buried in the Holy Land, will be offered at the Government House Mosque in Damaturu. Yobe State Government officially took over the funeral and condolences rites to honor the late governor.
Meanwhile, thousands of sympathizers continued to throne the Yobe State Government House Mosque in Damaturu to condole with the government and pay their last respects to the former governor, the late Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim.
Governor Mai Mala Buni today continued to receive condolences from sympathizers from within and outside the state at Government House Damaturu.
