Yobe: Buni takes Oath of Office

Governor Mai Mala Buni and his Deputy, Idi Barde Gubana has been inaugurated and swearing-In for a second term in office as a democratically elected governor and deputy of Yobe state.
The inauguration and swearing-in ceremony took place at August, 27 stadium, Damaturu.
Governor Mai Mala Buni congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and vice president Kashim Shettima GCON for their election and inauguration more than any of the presidential candidates given that he was at the forefront of restoring democracy in Nigeria.
Governor Buni revealed that his first tenure has recorded tremendous success in health care, agriculture, commerce, infrastructure, mass housing, water resources, environment, governance, mineral resources, law and order and public service reform.
“President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR Jagoran Talakawa, occupies special place in my heart and the hearts of all Yobeans, we thank Allah the Almighty for enabling him to complete his 8 years tenure peacefully and strongly. Allah endowed him with excellent health to the pleasure of his teeming well-wishers, Alhamdulilahi. Buni added.
The governor mention the achievements to include resettling of persons displaced by Boko Haram, rehabilitation of all schools destroyed by the insurgents and rehabilitation and upgrade of 138 out of 178 wards of primary health care centres in the state.
He said in the next four years, the government will invite private investors to participate in industrial activities as greenfield projects where it will concentrate on providing administrative incentives and enabling business environment.
“Nature has endowed Yobe state with diverse mineral resources, therefore, the state has great potential for the establishment of processing industries associated with pharmaceutical, cement, glass, chalk, plaster of paris and soap.” He said.
According to him, agricultural remains the bedrock and the secret of wealth creation prosperity and social security everywhere in the world and our administration shall give agricultural topmost priority.
