Yobe correspondents’ chapel elects Ahmed Isah as chairman

The Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Yobe State chapter, has elected its executives to run the affairs of the chapel for three years.
The elections were conducted peacefully, freely, and fairly, and those who were elected are Alhaji Ahmed Isah Abba of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) as chairman, Mr. Musa Buba Mingyi of Channel TV as vice chairman, and Sa’adatu Maina of Neptune Prime as treasurer; all of them were elected unopposed. While Habibu Gimba Idris of Daily Trust emerged as a secretary.
In his acceptance shortly after the election, Alhaji Ahmed Abba extended his heartfelt gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting us the opportunity to witness this important and historic moment. It is only by his divine grace that we are here today, and to him alone belongs all praise.
He thanks the electoral committee for the remarkable dedication and sacrifice you demonstrated throughout the election process. Your commitment to due process and transparency is highly commendable.
“My profound appreciation also goes to the leadership of the Yobe State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists under the able leadership of Comrade Rajav Ismail Mohammed for facilitating this election in accordance with the constitution of our great union. Your role in ensuring a smooth, credible, and peaceful process is worthy of emulation. Abba said.
The chairman thanks the esteemed members of the correspondents’ chapel for being deeply humbled and honored by the trust and confidence you have once again reposed in us to steer the affairs of the chapel for another term of three years.
Although our first tenure was marked by notable achievements, we also faced a number of challenges, which is natural in any human endeavor. However, your unwavering support has been a source of encouragement, and we remain firmly committed to consolidating our gains and striving for even greater accomplishment.
He uses this medium to express our appreciation to the government of Yobe State under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, Chiroman Gujba, for the numerous developmental projects executed across the state.
Ahmed Isah also expressed his gratitude to the Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Information, Home Affairs, and Culture, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, and the Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the governor, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, for their support.
