The Deputy Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Hon. Yau Usman Dachia, has urged the new Lawan of Jakusko, Alhaji Muhammadu Sabo Lamido, to be patient with his people and continue with the good work that he has been doing for the people of Jakusko and its environs.

Hon. Yau Usman Dachia, a member representing Jakusko constituency in the Yobe State House of Assembly, disclosed this to newsmen in Jakusko shortly after Alhaji Muhammadu Sabo Lamido was turbanned as the new Lawani of Jakusko by the Emir of Bade, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Suleiman.

“Alhaji Muhammadu Sabo Lamido is among the oldest Auditor-Generals in Yobe State; to say today your Lawan is an Auditor-General, almost he knows everything that is going on in the country, and we are proud of him anywhere he goes; he would not fail us; Bade Emirate is proud of him; the Emir is proud of him; and Yobe State will be proud to say that a person who served as Auditor-General turned into serving his people.” Dachia said.

He expresses his gratitude to the Emir of Bade, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Suleiman, for selecting a man like Sabo, who deserves to be the Lawani of Jakusko, and the whole people of Jakusko are happy with it. He is a grassroot personality, and this is very important in the sense that on the issue of insecurity, leaders are needed that can enlighten the people on government programs.

“Everybody knows that Alhaji Sabon Lamido, before he becomes the Lawani is doing something and people don’t know that he is doing. For example: I know he is giving money on a monthly basis of about N225,000 to all mosques and Malams to buy animals to pray to Almighty Allah to give us peace in Jakusko, Bade Emirate, and Yobe State as a whole.

“We thank God for protecting our people. The cases of insecurity that is happening. The Jakusko local government is among the local governments that didn’t get that problem, and I am assured that they are praying, and today, Alhaji Muhammadu Sabo Lamido is the leader of the whole area” he added.

Hon. Dachia, maintained that, by this new role, the Lawani will double his efforts in doing good. He therefore called on the people of Jakusko to be patient, continue to give him support and cooperation; and also praying to Almighty Allah to guide and protect him.
