Yobe: Emir of Tikau charges newly appointed village head with loyalty

The Emir of Tikau emirate council in Yobe state, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema LLD, has charged the newly appointed village head of Fakarau, Alhaji Kule Maina, to be loyal and abide by the rules and regulations governing the emirate council.

The emir gave the charge today while turbaning the village head at Sabon Garin Nangere, the headquarters of the emirate council.

Speaking through the Madaki of Tikau, Alhaji Aliyu Saleh Bagare. He said, You should work hard and tirelessly to see that you move Fakarau forward and fit with any village head in the emirate.

He called on the village head, Alhaji Kule Maina, to do all he could to remove Fakarau from its present situation, adding that May Almighty Allah help us. He gave us a competent and strong emir who always wanted to see that his people were promoting the religion in his domain.

“We are teaching Islamic everywhere in this emirate, and now we are doing Zakka and Waqaf and all this. We are doing it with a view to promoting religion, and with the Zakka and Waqaf, we are going to modernize them where we will combat them internationally.” he said.

Therefore, support the emir in all that he is doing to move the religion forward, to move the emirate forward, and to move the masses forward 100 percent, and we want, as from this century on, we hope Fakarau has developed and competed with any village head.

“Is most to be loyal to local government? Is most to be loyal to state government? Any policy the government brought, accept it hand in hand, support the government, and don’t bite the government, especially with the style of politics that has changed, mostly the government has taken the lead in politics.”

He said that anybody, be it the government, the chairman, the emir, or the district head, there is no way to get development there, and as members of the emirate council, we would bring you a good policy.

Therefore, wake up, do work seriously for your people, bring development, which people will say was done during your tenure, and also leave a legacy for your people.
