Yobe: Kadafur witnesses reception for Buni, commends governor’s achievements in stabilizing APC at National Level

Borno State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state for his achievements while serving as chairman of the CECPC of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for 18 months.

Kadafur made the commendation while speaking at a grand reception organised by people of Yobe state to welcome back Governor Buni after the successful completion of his national assignment at August 27 stadium Damaturu.

Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur said Governor Mai Mala Buni has branded APC new in Nigeria and today APC has a new set of National Working committee members.

The Deputy Governor revealed that Borno and Yobe state are the same and together the two states can make good outings at every national decision making. He therefore, thanks Buni for the achievements and change he brings in the party.

Speaking earlier, Yobe state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana Wazirin Fune said the mammoth crowd from all nooks and corners of Yobe state come to welcome governor Buni after his successful national assignment.

He said, “At the time of crisis, the president, Muhammadu Buhari our leader, made the right choice and called on governor Buni to take care of our great party and plan for the convention that we have on 26 March, 2022.

“Today is a great day for us in Yobe because today we are here to celebrate the success of our governor. He has made us proud.”

Also speaking one of the decamped, Senator Muhammadu Hassan Dumbu said “since I was in politics I was never happy like today. I am happy for myself, for governor Buni and for Yobe state because we are everywhere on the map for the steps our governor took in making APC what it is today.”

Other decampees received by governor Mai Mala Buni includes: Audu Hussaini, Suleiman Yusufu, Adakwaki Kastro and Alhaji Muhammadu Dakasku who were all stakeholders in PDP, Yobe state
