Yobe: Lawmaker distributes food, cash to Muslims for Sallah

A member representing Nangere/Potiskum in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Ibrahim Umar Potiskum has distributed food items and cash to the people of his constituency to enable them to celebrate Sallah successfully.

Speaking to NEWSng at the occasion, the coordinator of the member, Alhaji Hassan Fara – Fara said the distribution of the food items and cash to the people of his constituents will greatly assist them to celebrate the Sallah easily.

He said since, Hon. Ibrahim Umar Potiskum went to the green chamber in 2019 about 99% of the people of his constituency were empowered with different kinds of items including cash.

“For this Sallah celebration only, more than three trailers of rice and other food stuffs items and cash were distributed to all the 21 political wards across the two local government areas.” Hassan Fara-Fara said.

He revealed that, two months ago, the law marker empowered his people with Bulls and plough, Fertilizer, Grinding machines, Sewing Machines and other materials with a view to be self-reliant.

Alhaji Hassan Fara-Fara urged all the APC supporters across the two local government areas to reciprocate the gesture by voting to Hon. Ibrahim Umar Potiskum for second term in 2023 general elections.

He maintained that, since the restoration of democracy in 1999, Nangere/Potiskum Federal Constituency has never got a good representation like Hon. Ibrahim Umar Potiskum.
